Prerequisites: Long Range Level 1 or equivalent experience
Long Range Level 2 builds off the information taught in Level 1. While prior Level 1 is not a requirement, students attending Level 2 are expected to have a basic understanding of long-range precision shooting.
Long Range Level 2 dives into advanced material on external ballistics and environmental factors. Students will learn how to use the Mil Relation Formula for range estimation, how to use the Kestrel 5700 Elite Ballistics, and the Garmin Xero chronograph. Students will become familiarized with shooting from alternate positions such as off of a tripod and rapidly engage targets out to 1100 meters. Long Range Level 2 will also help prepare students for the Thin Air Precision Long Range Competitions.
